  • Dr Arne Scott

    CO-FOUNDER

    Arne is a biochemist with deep experience spanning both technical and commercial startup operations. Arne gained his PhD from University of Bristol in 2019 and joined biosensing spinout company Rosa Biotech as one of its first employees, before being appointed CTO in 2021.

  • Dr Ulrike Gorochowski

    CO-FOUNDER

    Ulrike is a bioengineer with broad experience spanning academic to commercial settings with a particular focus in automation technologies and project management. She was awarded a PhD from TU Munich in 2019 and acquired her PRINCE2 certification in 2024.

  • Dr Matthew Butler

    CO-FOUNDER

    Matt is a MRC funded Clinician Scientist and Senior Clinical Lecturer at University of Bristol, and an Honorary Consultant Nephrologist. His research focuses on developing novel techniques to study and prevent glycocalyx damage in patients.

  • Prof Simon Satchell

    CO-FOUNDER

    Simon is Professor of Renal and Vascular Medicine at the University of Bristol and a Consultant Nephrologist at North Bristol NHS Trust. He has 20 years of experience in endothelial glycocalyx research, and his group is one of world’s leading research teams investigating the role of endothelial glycocalyx dysfunction in human disease.

  • Prof Steve Harper

    CO-FOUNDER

    Steve was formally Consultant in Renal and Transplant Medicine at Bristol and has Co-Founded 3 previous Biotech spinouts. He has taken a molecule from discovery to the clinic in one (Exonate Ltd) and is also involved in another (Isomab Ltd) which recently secured funding to advance the pre-clinical development of a humanised isoform-specific monoclonal antibody lead molecule to address the failed microvascular function in peripheral limb ischaemia. 

  • Jane Theaker

    Jane Theaker

    ADVISOR

    Jane is a seasoned executive leader with a proven track record in scaling life science ventures.  She is experienced in global regulatory standards, including FDA approvals, CE marking, and complex co-development of Rx/ Dx programs. She is recognised for translating molecular innovation into commercial diagnostics.  A current NED of BioNow and a former NED of the Norwegian listed company ArcticZymes.
